IN
THE STUDIO - A pic of me at The Playground, my recording studio in Salt Lake City. My drum kit comprises
nine drums and 11 cymbals. I've always used kits this size. You just don't have the same musical options with smaller setups.
LOS ANGELES
- My brand new album GROOVE GARDEN reuites me with my three jazz musician brothers. Here we are playing a gig in an L.A.
jazz club back in the day. (L to R: Josh, me, John, James.) The club was At My Place in Santa Monica and helped serve as a
launching pad for world famous smooth jazz artist Richard Elliot as well as Adam Holzman (musical director for Miles Davis).

JOSHUA STEWART - My brother
Josh is a professional jazz pianist who currently performs in numerous downtown Seattle jazz clubs and piano bars. Josh
helped teach this drummer jazz theory (thankfully I started young). He also plays all the keyboard solos on all
three of my albums. Here's a pic of him in studio listening to playback on "Soleado," a latin-fusion song on GROOVE
GARDEN.
JOHN FLANDERS -
I always think of John as the quintessential jazz aficionado. His amazing skills on all things woodwind are uncanny. My last
two albums feature John blazing away on soprano, alto and tenor saxophones as well as flute. John and I share a Steely Dan obsession, and
when I need a solo that finds that Steely'esque blue note, John always delivers.

JOE CHISHOLM - I studied trombone all through
school but was never any good. Yet I've always remained a huge fan of the instrument. When I saw Joe playing live, I
was instantly blown away by his ability to solo on the instrument. Suddenly I knew my albums needed trombone (as long as he
was the one playing it).
JAMES STEWART -
Here's a pic of my bro James on sax, powering up the melody for "Midtown Funk" from LIFE GAMES. The song
was a Top 10 hit worldwide on MP3.com and was downloaded up to 15,000 times a day. James plays alto and tenor saxophones
on many of my albums as well as electric bass.
THE BROTHERS - Another pic of my and my brothers in Los Angeles. I'm the one in shades.
(I've always had a thing for sunglasses.) This was a publicity photo that was taken in Marina Del Rey.

IN PARIS
- I love traveling and especially love Paris. "Rain Over Paris," a ballad from LIFE GAMES, captures my love
of the city. My music has always been well-received throughout Europe as well as Japan, Australia and South America.
D ROSE
- Representing the Bronx, NYC (official birthplace of Hip-Hop), D Rose is the featured vocalist on my new album GROOVE
GARDEN. An in-demand hip-hop producer, D vocalizes as if every note comes from the heart. His powerful, passionate and soulful
voice (along with his ability to arrange lush squeaky-tight harmonies) made collaborating with him a dream come true.
TERENCE HANSEN - I've been
working with Terence for nearly 20 years. His molten-hot chops, amazing technique and versatility on both
acoustic and electric guitars never cease to amaze audiences. Here he is shredding the nylon strings on his
signature acoustic double-neck guitar, which has become his personal trademark as an artist.
DAVE CHISHOLM - Even as a teenager, Dave's mad trumpet skills would make a listener's
jaw hit the ground. His musical facility on the horn is almost supernatural
and he's currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Eastman in Rochester, NY. This is
a pic of Dave jamming at a recent outdoor summer music festival.
DAVID HALLIDAY - Dave is one seriously accomplished musician who has a soulful
passion and energy on the saxophone known to make breathless listeners stand up and cheer. A first-call session
player (he recently worked with Josh Groban), Dave's amazing tenor and alto playing is featured throughout
GROOVE GARDEN.
SAMAY V - Samay was responsible for encouraging me to record and produce my first album.
(Thanks, Samay, I owe you, bro!) Here he is in studio tracking "Warlord," a jazz-metal fusion song from
LIFE GAMES. Samay and I gigged together in the same popular Top 40 band for seven years.
REED LECHEMINANT - Reed was my featured trumpet and fluegelhorn player on LIFE GAMES. A
first-call session player, Reed always brings a very seasoned and musical approach to his horn playing. Here he is with the
incomparable Peter Cetera. (Don't know Cetera myself, but I'm honored to say Robert Lamm has all of my albums.)
